No longer do you need to live near the beach and in sunny weather to enjoy a beach cruiser bike. Thousands of riders all over the US are enjoying their beach cruiser bikes. Whether on a trek to town or a leisurely ride around the block, beach cruiser’s can be the perfect choice. Some people are buying them because they remind them of bikes they owned when they were kids, while others are buying them because of their stylish curves, laid back riding style, and ease-of-use.
Beach Cruiser bikes have been around for many decades, but that does not mean the technology has not advanced. They are still easy to ride and very comfortable, but now have the benefit of state-of –the-art technology.
The Cadillac Bicycles beach cruiser line is a perfect example of advances made in beach cruiser technology. The Men’s and Women’s Eldorado beach cruisers have been setting a new standard with all aluminum frames and components for rust resistance, adjustable stems to make the bike more adaptable to your height, and super comfortable seats with memory foam for that extra level of comfort.
Taking note of the increase in cruiser bike popularity, Cadillac Eldorados are now available in children’s versions. They have the same high end features, but are in smaller 20” frames for the younger riders in the family.
Taking the Cruiser a step further are the new Women's and Men's Cadillac Fleetwood bikes. These bicycles are crafted around a beach cruiser style frame, and feature what is known as “Seamless Shifting” with the NuVinci award winning bike hub. Recognized by Popular Mechanics with a Best Of Whats’ New Award, this hub provides a practically infinite number of gears for your bike within a specified range. It equals to more of a range than an 8 speed bike, but there are no actual gears. If you want it to be harder or easier to pedal your cruiser, simply twist the shifter one way or the other and the bike will adjust accordingly. There are no set gears, and no clicking. You never have to worry about being in the wrong gear again.
Beach cruisers are definitely cruising into the 21st century and show no signs of slowing down.
