GMC Denali Limited Road Bike - Carbon Fiber and Aluminum Frame SOLD OUT - DISCONTINUED The new GMC Denali Limited has taken the ever popular Denali Road bike to an entirely new level. In fact, this bike is ready to shake up the road bike scene with features that are normally found only on a bike costing hundreds of dollars more. The Denali Limited starts out with a combination frame of Aluminum and Carbon Fiber. The main frame is aluminum and the seat stays (rear of bike) is carbon fiber. This combination will provide a smooth, responsive ride and the carbon fiber will help absorb road vibrations and create an even lighter weight bike. The front fork is also carbon fiber - you read correctly, carbon! The drivetrain is all Shimano - from the crank to the shifters. There are 16 Speeds controlled by Shimano Sora STI Shifters. Shifting is done from the brake lever position - keeping you in an optimun riding position through your entire journey. The wheels are 700c with quick release hubs. As you can see - the Denali Limited provides a lot of bang at an incredible price! The Denali Limited is available in three frame sizes - 20", 22" and 25" - each with 700c wheels. This is my first road bike. I was able to install the wheels,handle bars and seat myself. The brake lever was just a matter of slipping the cable through the hole pull it tight and securing the set screw. Filled the tires up to the proper presure an I was on the road! Handles beautiful. You can lift this bike with two fingers. Very fast, very quiet.

I wanted a bike that I could get and would be comfortable riding in Mini-Traithlons - got this bike a few weeks ago- and have been training on it since. What a great bike. Easy shifting- Smooth ride- and did I mention, Very Fast? The Bike is very sharp looking also from the cool looking handle bars to the frame which is gold. I recommend taking this bike to a bike shop to have them assemble and have it done right - I did that and have no regrets. I am extremely happy with my purchase, I had debated getting a cheaper bike, but went with this and I am so happy I did, this bike is on par with FAR more expensive bikes. The Bike shop I took it too was amazed I got it at the price I did.

I chose this bike because of the low price for an aluminum/carbon fiber combo. The framework is excellent and a good size for me in the 22" model (I'm 5'11"). The picture looks like the frame is yellow, yet it is a light gold metallic which looks far better than the picture! The 2200 series shifters from Shimano are on par with bikes in the $400 to $500 range, although they get the job done well, you typically have higher end components with a carbon/aluminum frame. The handlebars are the ugly orange and yellow like the picture, but the box shows black - thankfully handlebar tape is cheap! If you are not experienced at putting together modern road bicycles, I recommend taking it to your local shop and have them assemble and tune it.
