The foundation of the L-3 is a high quality aluminum frame, with a sloping design for easy mounting and dismounting, however, there is much more to this frame than what meets the eye. If you take a closer look, you will see that the crank and pedals are set slightly forward in relation to the seat tube, and in comparison to other bikes. The result is comfortable leg position that is also very efficient when it comes to pedaling. When it is time to put your feet down, they will already be in a perfect position to do so and you will find that you can ride for longer periods of time with less fatigue.
The Cadillac L-3 is a three speed bicycle that utilizes Shimano's revolutionary Nexus hub for its shifting. There is no external derailleur on this bike that shifts the chain when you shift gears. All of the shifting mechanisms are internal. This means there is a lot less maintenance and no derailleur to get out of place. The shifting is very reliable and is done via a grip shifter that you simply twist to shift gears up or down. Working alongside the Nexus hub are the brand new, Shimano Internal Disc Brakes in both the front and rear. The Shimano Internal Disc Brakes provide excellent stopping power, are maintenance free, and also allow for a freewheel on the bike.
The combination of the custom ergo frame, matched with the alloy riser handlebars and quick adjust stem provide you with a very comfortable and efficient riding position. A Custom Cadillac Super Comfort Saddle sits upon a suspension seatpost for softening the bumps. For even more shock absorption, the front fork has built in suspension with 40mm of travel, which will absorb the bumps for your upper body as you enjoy your smooth and comfortable ride.
The L-3 is available in two sizes, both are adult sizes with 26" wheels. The frame sizes are 15" and 20".
