I've had this bike for about 4 months now and i have more then a thousand miles on it and it has been great! I love this bike a lot and, with some good pedels and gear it makes a lovely training bike. The down side is it's rather heavy which makes it hard to race in. But other then that i love this bike and would recomend it to a friend!

It is a great bike for just getting into the sport. I am an avid runner and having suffered a right foot Plantar injury I had to do something to maintain my fitness level while I couldn't run. This bike looked great and the price was right. Especially for not knowing if I would use it all that much once I got back to running. I too had issues with flat tires and had the rim straps changed. I did it myself and it was only a couple of dollars a wheel. Overall an easy fix. I have put on over two hundred miles easily so far and I am pretty much happy with the bikes performance. Again, for the price I don't think you can go wrong. If you are going to compare this bike to a $2000.00 TREK or Cannondale than you aren't being reasonable. If that is what you are looking for than put up the cash and don't bother looking at lower end bikes! I would say that this bike is good enough for your recreational rider up to an intermediate. The components have been OK so far so I couldn't see why you wouldn't be able to compete with the bike if you really wanted to. But again, if you are looking to stay in great shape, cross train or just enjoy taking long road rides you can do it all on this bike. I would reccomend this bike to anyone looking for a decent bike without having to take out a 2nd mortgage LOL!

It was a terrific starter bike for anyone that wanted to get into road biking. So I have a terrific bike, an awsome upgrade from my yarddsale mountain bike, and still working after 2 years and 5 centuries (a century is a 100 mile bike race) The chances are very low that I would trade this bike in for anything else, it is just that good a bike. Although Lance Armstrong's Trek Madone... I woul still have to keep the yellow-walled tires at least! My bike has been nicknamed "The bumblebee" and I have been nicknamed "The Hornet". If you are looking to get into roadbiking, but you have a small budget, this bike is perfect. Even with a large budget this bike is awesome. I could write a whole book about this bike, but I will spare the readers. THIS IS AN AWESOME BIKE. My only surprise is that it comes from GMC, a company known for their gas-guzzling SUV's.

This is a great intro road bike. I originally bought it because, well, the price was right (I didn't want to drop $1,000 into a hobby I wasn't sure I was going to like). This bike has had no trouble holding its own, and I will be riding it in the Sam's Club MS150 ride in May. The #1 comment you will get is how people dig the yellow-sidewalled tires (that, and why is an american car company selling a bike made in China).
Make sure you take the tires off and replace the rim-strips on both wheels when you get it. The factory strip was just electrical tape, which won't hold up (I went through 3 tubes on the front wheel in 5 minutes before I realized what was wrong). Easy, cheap work you can do yourself, new rim-tape costs about $2 per wheel.

I bought this bike this past summer before RAGBRAI passed through my town. I had my bike assembled by a bike shop since I'm not all that mechanically inclined. I must say I'm loving this bike more and more everytime I ride it! I'm planning on riding RAGBRAI and finishing 2 triathlons this next summer with this bike! I know I've rode well over 300 miles and haven't had a single problem yet.
