Hobson Easy Seat II Ergonomic Bicycle Seat Now in Stock.   Current research studies from leading urologists documented that sitting on a conventional triangular shaped bicycle seat with just 12% of the rider's weight can compress the penile arteries causing impotence in men. Women are at risk as well, suffering from vaginal nerve damage. Creating a safe seat meant eliminating the problem of that crucial pressure point; namely the center horn.   Origin Design Resource of Santa Monica, California were hired to create the Hobson East Seat II. Their unique construction removes the center horn. With the pressure off the rider's perineal area, their weight rests on the ischial (sit) bones. This makes complaints of pain, numbness and chafing a thing of the past. The two seatpads move slightly with the weight and downstroke of the rider, keeping legs fresh mile after mile. Enclosed in the base of each seat pad is a stiff elastomer (cushioning plug ) which allows the pads to stay with the rider’s down stroke providing a very stable ride. The nylon/glass frame has a stress level of 800 lbs   The seat pads have an ergonomic shape with a foam/gel padding. The charcoal grey nu-leather covering is perforated to prevent stretching and allowing for a customized fit.   The adjustment dial allows for the width separation of the seats to be synchronized and held in place. This allows other riders to adjust to their comfort zone. The Easyseat II has a warranty on all parts and manufacturer's defects. Cyclists need not feel uneasy over riding, in fear of pain or physical injury.
